First Boating Trip Of The Season!!!!!

Finally!!!! Boating season is here and I'm not PREGGARS!!! Yeah! Nyah loved it as well...

Well, kind of...She hated her life vest so bad!! She cried when she had to wear it...it was so big she couldn't touch her hands in front and it smashed her cheeks! :(
But when it came off she was all giggles!

I think she is a natural boater.

Here she is with dad

Dahle Family Reunion

My mom found a really great house in Park City and we spent Memorial weekend there as a family. I was really fun. We had a pool tournament, Karaoke til the break of dawn, four wheeling, movie night, lots of games and really good food...add a little family and who could ask for more? Oh we also had an impressive talent night where Kellie (my twin sister) and I played a duet of "hot cross buns" (the only song we know from 7th grade band) on our flute and clarinet. (I played the flute)

Here is Derek rockin it out with Nyah on the mic. I'm not sure, but are his eyes closed? :)

This was Nyahs talent. Drinking through a straw!!! She is concentrating very hard!

Weekend at Glenwood Springs

A couple of weeks ago we went to Glenwood Springs Colorado. We met Jan and Andy there for an action packed weekend. We had dinner in Aspen. Hiked to the top of a waterfall. Swam in a natural spring. Took a tram to a mini amusement park where we cruised on an alpine slide and took a tour through a pretty sweet cave. Here are some pics.

We went swimming in a really warm natural spring. Nyah loved it. Here she is commanding her seahorse!

This is us at the very top of the hike. We are in a little cave behind spouting rock water fall.

Nyah loved the hiking backpack...she even fell asleep in it on the way down.

This is about half-way to the top Andy (our brother-in-law) took this shot. I think he may have a second profession as a photographer in the works! :)

This was at the top of our hike. It was really beautiful

Nyahs First Parade

This is the Smithfield Health Days Parade...I'm not sure Nyah really cared? But I got a lot of great parade candy!! (and it looked like I was picking it up for my child so it was ok) :)

Happy 6 Months Nyah!!!

I saw a recipe for these and thought is was the most clever thing I had ever seen...and...thought I was the only one who knew about them. Until I started asking around and everyone is like "ya, of course I had those when I was little." So, I had been feeling rather deprived that I didn't remember getting them as a child...until...yesterday my mom confirmed that yes, I was made these as a child...and now everything is right in the world yet again.
To celebrate Nyah's 6 month birthday we had a slumber party with Auntie Dee and Andi :) what fun. Too bad Nyah was the only one not to get a cupcake.

She seems pretty pleased anyway...

Duck, Duck, Goose...

We went to willow park on Monday, the weather was beautiful! This is us feeding the ducks...ok it's me feeding the ducks and pretending Nyah cared :). She had a pretty good time too...as you can tell from the array of facial expressions :).

The Joys of Motherhood :)

I'd like to dedicate this photograph to all those who think it's such a good idea to "let your baby cry at night!" It almost killed me emotionally and physically...and...it did absolutely NOTHING except probably make her sleeping worse! We gave it a try all last week and come Sunday I collapsed from exhaustion (obviously, as I don't mind all the blood rushing to my head.)

Yes it's happened

I hoped it wouldn't, and thought that I had gotten away with something...but no, here it is, the bald spot...and if I may say so it's one of the best! :)

Great Cousins

This is Nyah and her cousin Raegan...they are about six months apart and destined to be great friends. Yesterday they started interacting for the first time

This is a video of Nyah playing with her other cousins...she laughed so hard for about a half an hour she couldn't breathe and started coughing . The best squeals and laughs took place after I shut off the camera (of course.) But the video is still pretty cute!!

Nyah is coming up on her 6 month mark this week! She is really starting to get the hang of sitting up!

Fun With Great Grandma

This is Nyah and Great Grandma Kress...last Monday Nyah and I took a drive to Rockland ID. Possibly the smallest town in the world? This is where Grandma lives and tends to her magic garden. Growing up I would eat fresh peas out of the pod and listen to the birds sing in this garden. I wanted to help plant it with her this year so we went up. However, it was too WINDY :(. So we did puzzles, watched who wants to be a millionaire, ate tuna fish sandwiches and went for a walk.

I always tease my mom about the hands she passed on to me and I think got passed on to Nyah...this is where they came from...Grandma Kress. So here is a 3 generation hand photo (just missing my mom's.)

Since we couldn't garden we went for a walk...and Great Grandma might be old but she was MOVIN!

We spent the weekend in St. George at the races.

"Close But No Cigar"

So, as many of you already know...we took a little drive. After the horse races in St. George we thought we'd check out the Grand Canyon. We drove 100 miles to find out it was CLOSED FOR THE WINTER!!!! So all we got to do was stop at this crumby souveniour shop...

This is our family photo "in front of the Grand Canyon"

I don't think Nyah minded at all

I tried to Ninja-kick the gate down so we could get through...Didn't work!

We were WAY bummed about our wasted drive so we checked our GPS for another point of interest in the area...we found that there was a great cave not too far from where we were...and...it was freaking CLOSED!!!!!

Nyah's First Swim

A couple of bathing beauties.

Little Swimmer

Nyah's Easter Dress

EASTER BLISS

Every year Connie puts on the most FABULOUS Easter extravaganza!! We look forward to it every year...this was Nyahs first year to participate. (Well hang with Grandma while her parents pushed little children down to get to the eggs in the yard.) :)

I requested that my Easter basket be hid in an easy place (I guess hanging from the chandelier in the entry way is considered easy?) :)

This is Nyah at the doctor just before she gets her shots ... I hate shots, it is so sad! She has no idea whats coming. :(
