Nyah's Birthday

We started off the BIG day with the usual breakfast in bed birthday party... the candle in the pancakes was a personal request of Nyah's.

Grandma Dahle and Poulsen sent a present for Ali to help her get in on the action.

This was the only thing Nyah asked for... A unicorn dreamlite.  This is the toy that looks dirty at the store and is pretty hideous in every other way too (unless the lights are out) :)... but melts your child's heart!

After breakfast Nyah went to school with a giant Cinderalla "It's my Birthday" pin on her chest, a box full of cupcakes in hand, and a HUGE smile on her face!!

After school was her usual Halloween Costume Party Birthday Bash!

We decorated pumpkins with foam stickers to look like cats, frankenstein, and mummies!  It was really fun and they turned out super cute!

Singing Happy Birthday.

Realizing her Birthday wish is going to come true! :)

Diving into orange frosted goodness!

Ali and her friend Taya had a ball at the party too!

Opening presents.

Taking out some aggression on the pinata... While at the party store I suggested Nyah get this cute witch pinata... it was the only one left and obviously a favorite... however she had her heart SET on a giant white skeleton head that had 900 left in stock.  :)  This mermaid is serious about crackin skulls to get to the good stuff!

Seeing the last of the friends off...

Let the Trick or Treating Begin!

After Nyah's party we went to the Law school to do some trick or treating and play some Halloween games.

During this game Ali was blindfolded... and this picture looks like something out of a freaky HORROR movie!  Ha!

Wrap the mummy blindfolded.

Bean bag toss.

Every kids dream... I am not sure but Nyah's wish may have looked something like this when she blew out her candles earlier at her party?

Late night family party... singing happy birthday and blowing out candles on the real cake. :)

With a little help.

Another year old and another birthday for the records books!  My SWEET angel is 5!

Day to Day

Ali cannot have raspberries without making a hand-puppet out of them... they taste better that way!

Last trip to the lake.

I am PREGGO

Here is the first picture of our little peanut at 8 weeks old... the girls were VERY excited to come to the ultrasound!

Nyah drew this picture of me... This is what I have become to her!  I have been SO ridiculously want-to-die SICK!! and tired my first trimester... that she drew a picture of me laying on the couch with a giant pregnant belly!  She has been so incredible at taking over the mommy role... taking care of Ali.  Sometimes I would involuntarily pass out on the couch and wake up to lunch on the table... cut up hot dogs made in the microwave, served with cut up carrots (a little scary), and 2 glasses of milk.  In the mornings she would get them cereal, yogurt, and make their carnation instant breakfast in sippie cups.  She really blew me away with how she took charge and took care of all of us at 5!  I LOVE you Nyah!!

Playing outside... there is a picture of me playing with my sisters at this age... and my sister Dee has a bicycle tube around her head like Nyah... I had a glimpse of my own childhood... oh how history repeats itself.

Nyah got a brand new barbie bike!  To replace the Peddlin Pets bike that I put together and the pedal fell off! :)  She loves to ride it with Ali hot on her heels on a red rider scooter!

I was looking through my phone pictures the other day and found these of Nyah outside in her nightie! I guess she was doing more than pouring milk on cereal when I was unconscious!  :)

Who likes popcycles?!

This was one of those moments when you look at your kids and realize just how fast time is moving; and you realize your babies won't be babies forever and you want to freeze that moment in time forever!

More Soccer Fun

Nyah's first soccer pictures.

At practice.

I promise I don't ask her to pose!  She see's a camera and a little diva from deep inside comes out to shine!  :)

Stretching.

Drills.

Cowgirl Parade

It was River City Roundup week at Nyah's school where their projects had western theme all week.  They ended the week with a roundup parade.  Nyah got to dress up like a cowgirl and gallop around school on a stick horse with an audience... what could be better?

Dance Class

First day of dance class... and Ali's first dance class EVER!!  She was on cloud nine!!

Warming up.

Nyah came and stood behind her... literally having her back to make sure she had proper form :)  Maybe a little too helpful?

When she came home she was BURSTING with pride.  She felt so old, FINALLY it was her turn to go to class... she has been waiting for this for a long time.  You make a beautiful tiny dancer my sweet!

Children's Museum

I think they sent someone looking for our bodies over the summer when we didn't show up for our weekly visit... but the girls wasted no time in getting back in the swing of things!  Ali did her makeup and got bedazzled for...

a tea party with a princess. :)

Back at the zoo too... we sure missed our hang-outs while we were gone!

Greasy pizza at sams club... "Extra grease please!"  Nyah is a women with a refined palate... and few morsels cross the forbidden gates of her lips... but she is first in line for "greasy sam's club pizza."  No other pizza is quite as "greasy!" :)

Nyah and Tinkerbelle helped me gather sticks in the forest behind our house for our spooky halloween tree!

Playing in the fall leaves

Trying on halloween costumes... Ali refused to wear a mask and opted for the cowboy hat instead.  Nyah found the scariest mask she could... that's my Halloween baby for sure.
