Last Minute Holiday Fun

We took this kids to the Children's Museum at Gateway... it was a fun change to our Museum back home.  :)

Bowling birthday party for Grandpa Dahle at Fat Cats... Happy Birthday Grandpa!!

BACK IN OMAHA

FINALLY a much needed Kitchen MAKE-OVER... Finished product pics coming soon!

I walked into the living room to find Ali having her way with a tampon box...  Poor girl takes after her mom and was probably just wanting a treat... so she had to open each one just to make sure I guess? :)

Nyah got a waitress costume for Christmas and so I ordered up all my favorites and she got a really big tip for keeping the DC flowing ;)

My GORGEOUS girls are not famous for there eating... I think they would rather get shots at the Dr than eat a sloppy casserole... however if they make it themselves it magically tastes better!

Look at that concentration...

Even though I don't have photographic proof they did eat the sandwiches after they were done... I wonder how they would be at pasta... hmmmmm.....

More saturday morning cartoon pics... I seem to take a lot of orphan Annie pics of my kids and I came to realize when they are dressed and pressed we are running at full speed out the door!  They are so cute together these days!  The love to play and tease each other 3 years and adding a sibling is finally paying off!  HA! :)

We are serious REGULARS at the Henry Doorly Zoo!  Even in the winter we'll bundle up to sneak a peek at some animls... This day we were having lunch inside the large cat exhibit... while we were eating this huge tiger jumped up on the window and scared Nyah really bad. Tigers are never at this window because his inclosure is down below so he had to climb up on a cliff to get up close and personal with Nyah's go-gurt.  :) It was a little unnerving at first but what a gorgeous animal!!

My girls

Cheap kicks

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEREK!!!

I threw Derek a ugly sweater karaoke party for his birthday... a friend generously gave him these red pants... he couldn't walk right for a week after.  :)

I think Nyah and Ali are wishing to eat that cake!

They really love their Dad Happy Birthday Derek Jay!!!

LET IT SNOW... LET IT SNOW...  LET IT SNOW...

It was a super mild winter but we got the storm of the century... but I would never let 5 ft of snow keep me in... after digging out my car getting stuck and sliding of the road I loaded it up with friends and we went for sushi... we had no trouble getting a table... because the whole city was shut down due to snow. :)

When I got back we played like it was going to melt tomorrow!

Home for the Holidays

Derek and I used to do A LOT of snowboarding before we had kids... it's actually kind of how we got together... over Christmas break we got to go for the first time in a long time... it was so FUN!!!!  Highlight of the trip for sure!

Nyah was in hog heaven with 24-7 running with the cousin pack entertainment!

A game of twister with Grandpa and Grandma Poulsen... probably relating in a post game chiropractic visit :)

CHRISTMAS MORNING!

Nyah asked Santa for a leap pad and was not disappointed upon running out to find her stocking!  She was bursting with Christmas excitement!

Ali has tears in her eyes because she did not appreciate being locked in the laundry room while we got ready for the lights camera action!  But the tears turned into cheers when she saw the enormous Dora display before her!

Joy to Nyah's world!! :)

Christmas Day (Eve) at Grandma Dahle's... it is always a wild party at the Dahle residence on Christmas eve and since we were away this year we shifted the festivities to Christmas night.  It was so much fun!!

Ali went CRAZY for the unwrapping and was grabbing at anything covered in bright paper!  No one could open anything without Ali HOT on their heels... so my brother Trevor started wrapping present with paper and duct tape so that we could by some unwrap time for someone else!  Can't wait for her birthday. :)

Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight...

We went to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point with my family and had a great time.

For anyone who has ever wondered what Derek would look like with dinosaur legs.

uncovering dinosaurs with cousin Addie...

so sweet...

getting down and dirty with a serious archaeological dig!

Nyah loves the horses at Poulsen Ranch her and Ali fed them hay in exchange for a pet...

Soakin it up in the hot tub with my soul mate and two little sweeties... a much needed break after Dereks 1st semester in law school!!!!!

Nyah slept in Grandma Poulsen's room every night that we were there... She LOVED it... not sure how much Grandma liked it?  :)  But she did help Nyah make a tent for her last few nights there! :)

Nyah hit the Deer Vally slopes with Uncle Brian for her first ski lesson!  She did really well considering she broke out in a rash all over her body from a laundry detergent and was a little sleepy from the benadryl I gave her for the rash :)

What a natural!

Taking a break to refuel!

Ali also hit the slopes on the cutest microscopic baby skis ever!  She loved it!  She laughed all the way down... well until we tried to take her protein bar away that is in her hand. :)

GO Ali!

Brian was SO sweet and patient with Nyah!! He is such a fantastic uncle and ski instructor!  Thank you Brian!!!!! :)

Ali loved hanging out with Grandma Dahle when she wasn't cutting up the slopes :)  She was so tired from skiing that she fell asleep on Grandma shoulder!  :)

Nyah's past experience on the sky fairy at the zoo prepared her for the lift :)
