Annual Dahle Halloween Extravaganza

Here we are at the annual Dahle Halloween extravaganza!  Derek is a Marine, I am obviously an ice skater, Nyah is Alice in Wonderland, and little Ali is a lady bug!

Here is Ali trying to fly away!

It was a SUPER fun party.  Usually it's me that is in charge but this year my mom headed things up and did a FANTASTIC job!  She hired a magician...pictured above...we are still trying to figure out some of those tricks. :)

My sister Kellie and her sweet little Addie came in for the festivities. Kellie was an aerobics instructor and wore a hilarious leotard we all wore to gymnastics as kids.  Ha!

My cousin heather was an Indian princess and had her costume custom made months before the occasion.

Here you are looking at the grand prize winner of the best costume contest my very own mother as Cleopatra!  Isn't she awesome!

There was also a best spooky treat contest... here are the contestants...

Here is the official winner!  Who brought these?  Well, yours truly of course!  Ok they don't look exactly like they did in my mind before I made them but they are still pretty killer!  :)

Nyah got some early birthday presents... the highlight of the party for her for sure.
GREAT party but I am kicking myself for not taking a group pic with everyone's awesome costumes...maybe next year?

Snuggle Bugs

I love taking pictures of the girls watching morning cartoons first thing in the morning. :)

Isn't she sweet!

Hair Growth Spurt

We were getting out some Halloween stuff and tried this hideous wig on the girls..while it was on Ali I laughed so hard I cried.  Literally tears.

It was so strange to see Nyah with dark hair because she is such a blondie I don't even recognize her!

Too Close for Comfort

Well I've turned 29 and it's a little to close for comfort to the BIG 3-0!  After Derek and I got home from our hot birthday date we had cake and ice cream with the girls.  Nyah wanted to know "WHERE ARE THE PARTY HATS!"  You can't have a party without party hats!!  A few minutes later she was passing out the hats pictured above...I asked her what she was doing and she looked at me like duh mom and said "these are our party hats."  Party hats they were...my little party girl.  Hopefully this next year goes by extra slow!  :)

More Dance Pics

Here Nyah is letting her inner-ballerina free...

Ali had to spend part of class in her car seat but you can tell from the look on her face that she has other plans.

Once out of her seat she was THE MOST excited one to be there!!!  That smile and the squeal that goes with it never stop when there is dancing to be had.  We had comments from everyone on how excited she was to be there...quite hilarious!  I can't wait to see what she'll do when those Ali feet hit the floor!

Nyah is doing some acting here she is pretending to be asleep as part of her routine...I was very convinced!

Nyah and Jayci are showing off "point and to the knee"

Obviously quite proud of her moves

Not really sure where this move comes from...ok I confess it more than likely came from our dancing in kitchen... that should probably stay in the kitchen.  :)

Last Day on the Lake

We hit up Willard Bay for the last night and practically the first ride of the season!  It was really fun!!  Nyah road the tube with Dad for the first time...she was really brave even thought we were topping speeds of up to two miles an hour :).  It's a start!  :)

Ali is kickin it in some SUNSCREEN...Hooray! Finally we have been waiting in doors all summer for sweet little Ali to turn six months so that we could venture out into the warm sunshine...and today is the day!

She has also started eating solids so naturally we would start with ruffles potato chips.  :)

As you can see she REALLY liked them...she waited until we were distracted having our picture taken and then swiped a few while we weren't looking.

Nyah's first lesson driving the boat...she was a little overly confident...uhh....

We went with Trevor and his friend Cammie... they were a blast to hang out with!  I have the BEST brother ever!

Farewell to summer we will see you next year and we WON'T be hiding inside so look out!

Home Decor

Nyah insisted on getting these stickers at the store...later that day I came into the room and she was sticking them all over the wall...I guess she felt like she needed a little something right there.

New Cousin Alert

My Sister Dee added sweet baby Liam to the ever growing list of cousins on my side...ok there are only two so far but...look at how adorable!  We went down for his blessing and to get acquainted.  Ali and Liam are only 5 months apart and destined to be great friends...that is if Ali's chubby thighs don't squash him first. :)

My beauty!

Old Habits Die Hard

These two still like to take naps together.

Strange how I'm the one up in the night with the infant and these two are just sooooo tuckered out...hmmmmm... :)

Taking Matters Into Her Own Hands

Nyah has been taking matters into her own hands as of late.  I come into the kitchen to find her whipping something up just about every day.  This popcorn it a tad over-done but I'm sure Julia Childs didn't nail her first bag of microwave popcorn either!  Ha!  :)  Also on the list of her specialties is hot dogs, and macaroni and cheese (microwavable of course...come to think of it everything she makes is in the microwave. Ha!)

Nyah's FIRST Day of School!!

This is Nyah's first day of Pre-School and she is BURSTING with excitement!  I was a little nervous to put her in and sad that she is growing up so fast...but she is doing really well!!

"bye mom..."

...and off she goes. (don't be alarmed her pre-school is two doors down.)

Her very first school assignment for those of you not familiar with impressionistic art...it's an apple. :)

Abuse

This is one of those times where you get that dagger to the heart feeling that you are a bad mom.  My poor angel baby had to fall asleep in the bumbo!  :(  But for the record I am pretty sure it was Derek that was suppose to be on duty?  Ha!  :)

Ali Gets a New Swing

I got Ali a swing for the swing set and she laughs her head off while she is flying through the air.  I tried to video it but of course she stopped laughing as soon as she saw the camera.  :)  She is feeling like such a big girl these days.  She wants to be like her big sister...especially when it comes to Nyah's off limits sippie cups!

First Day of Ballet Class

Nyah took a ballet class with her friend Jayci and it was love even before first sight.  Here they are practicing before they even get into the class!  That is dedication!

Warming up...by making rain and thunder with her feet...and rainbows with her arms.  We  don't want
any injuries.

End of Summer Slumber

It's beginning to be a tradition that I have a back to school slumber party for my nieces Harley and Addie.  We do all kinds of girlie things and have tons of fun!  Nyah loves it!

Grandpa and Grandma K

This is Ali with Grandpa and Grandma Kress they came down for Trev's homecoming.

I have the most AMAZING memories with these two!  I love you Grandpa and Grandma!
