HAPPY BIRTHDAY NYAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We celebrated Nyah's 2nd birthday in spooky style with the whole crew...

Darrick, Kellie, and Addison came in from Hawaii, Dee came in from San Fran, and Brian and Sher cut their Vegas vacation short to be there...it was THE event of the year :)! Here we are with all of Nyah's Aunties and my cousin Heather...what a HOT group! From left Maleficent, prima ballerina, Lucille Ball (I Love Lucy), Where's Waldo, Wonder Woman, Bar Wench, MASH character that we kept calling Hugh Hefner, and bat woman.

My parents were soccer players :) My mom was a HUGE help in putting the wicked bash together!

Nyah knows all about presents now and is so excited to open them she was very spoiled!


Singing happy birthday...my camera was on a funky setting...good thing there were like 8 other cameras!
Yet again Nyah was too lady-like to dive into her cake. She daintily tasted each color of frosting despite shouts from the crowd to stomp or sit on the cake. :)
Best costume of the night goes to...My sister Kellie...a little too good her nails stuck a little tighter than expected here she is soaking them off at the end of the night. I think if Nyah could have voted Kellie would have gotten her vote two. Sleeping beauty is her fav and she was loving Kellie's costume all night!
The pressure was intense as the evening wore on their was a haunted house decorating contest... the costumes came off, and the gloves went on!
Brian and Sher were the WINNERS! I'm sorry to say I have no pics of the final product.
What a GREAT night thanks to all my family for being there...it was a night to remember...at least until next year. HA! :)

Autumn Arts and Crafts

Nyah is painting all of our left over pumpkins on the most beautiful fall day EVER!

Nostalgia

When I was little we would visit my Grandparents and as soon as my Dad hit the breaks in the driveway or sometimes a little before that my sister and I would pile out running for the basement yelling at the top of our lungs "I CALL THE BIG DOLL!" Well, this is the big doll and I scored it for good the last visit to Idaho! My Grandma gave it to me...Being almost 40 years old I figured it was time for a bath :) This was probably a year ago...
Nyah loves to play with her (even though most people think she looks a little freaky) funny that I have my own big doll that plays with the big doll from my childhood.

SURPRISE!

Derek threw me a surprise birthday party the night before my birthday. I went to Young Women's and when I came home Derek had the house decorated AWESOME and it was full of friends and family. Now normally surprise parties are difficult to pull off without the person suspecting but the proof is in the picture above I had no idea I was going to have a house full of people...I went running right before and did not get ready at all. What a SWEET husband! I had a most fantastic Birthday! :)

Over the river and through the woods...

We spent a weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Kress' house in Idaho...Nyah had a great time giving her parents a heart attack by touching ALL of their nick-knacks :)! We slept in later than we ever have before (I am even embarrassed to say) which never happens! Grandma's famous oatmeal for breakfast and a swan treat for the road.

Riverdale Hot Springs

About a month ago we went with friends to Riverdale Hot Springs
The air was a little cold but the water felt awesome! Even in my maternity swim suit :) HA! This random cat kept coming by the pool and luring Nyah away and trying to eat her picnic...Kitty cats are Nyah's weakness! It was a lot of fun!

WE ARE PREGGERS

ISLAND PARK

We went to island park with the Poulsen clan earlier this month...it was a BLAST!

Nyah loved riding four-wheelers with her cousins and grandparents.

We checked out an incredible waterfall nearby.

The house was super kid friendly (aka: NO knick knacks) so Nyah ran freely with the pack while Derek and I got a little R & R! :)

We had an honorary birthday party for Addie, Carson, and Zander. Here is Nyah trying to knock the pinata out of the ball park...I didn't edit her red eyes because I felt like they really captured the mood :) Nyah was going for blood on that thing! Now if she would have known there was candy inside she would have dropped the bat and the claws would have come out... :) HA!

Nyah is really lucky to have such GREAT cousins!
We spent the rest of our time in Yellowstone where we were promised to see bears along with a lot of other animals that were obviously hiding. However what beats a homemade see-saw made out of logs with Addie?
Old Faithful.

We finished up our trip in Jackson hole...(to be pictured later when I get my pics from Callie) Over-all a wonderful trip! Thank you Mont and Connie.

Demolition Derby

Here we are at the demolition derby... basically bumper cars with real cars and the last one standing wins. Slightly WT but highly entertaining :) Yes that is a car that has burst into flames in the background :)

Grandpa's Rodeo

At Grandpa's rodeo...Nyah loved the all the animals...Derek and I like the bull fight. Thats our friend Sheek in the back who's eating what looks like an orange? We had a great time! :)

Logan Pool

We went to the Logan Pool a lot this summer...I made the mistake of getting Nyah a shave ice the first time...now EVERY TIME it's "I want ice!" She'll go stand in line at the shack herself to get one :)

Maybe it's Maybelline

Nyah loves to play in my makeup...so when things get a little quiet in the house...a little too quiet I check the bathroom first! Uh-can we say Batman's joker by chance? Ha! What a sweetie!

Girls Camp

I'm in Young Women's so I was lucky enough to go to girls camp this summer...Here I am with the other leaders. It was just a week after getting back from Hawaii so Derek had to pretty much hold the fort down by himself for the month of July! He is such a great Husband and Dad!! :)

Artist in Training

Nyah loves to paint! She asks to almost everyday...I turn on classical music to really get your right brain movin and shakin! I have been really impressed with her painting!! I want to get her a canvas to paint something for the house. Really. :)

This is her first painting...AMAZING I know...but not really sure why it's so small on here? :)

At The Fair

We took Nyah to the fair...she loved riding the carousel with Dad and her cousin Carson!

But most of all she liked the car ride with her cousins Kinley and Carson! :)

Bear Lake

We have spent some weekends at Bear Lake this summer Nyah loves the water...
Even though it is REALLY cold :)

Lunch Dates

Every week we do lunch with our friends Sarah and Jayci...Nyah and Jayci get VERY excited to see each other.

Cherry Hills

We went to Cherry hills a couple of times this summer...Really fun but it traumatized Nyah's love for slides...now she refuses to go down even little baby slides :) She did love the lazy river and spending time with her cousins!

And there was juice on the menu so everything was right in her world!! :)

Her and Her cousin Raegan had a great time getting into trouble together!

4th of July

Please don't judge me that it is the end of September and I'm now just blogging about the fourth of July :). We watched the fireworks with my in-laws from the front lawn...Nyah loved them!
