At the beach... Ali loved the sand... especially sandy crunchy cheetos :)
Nyah with a couple of her new friends floating out to sea... well maybe just a few feet from shore :)
This is Nyah at her dance class... Ali so badly wants to be apart... I have a hard time keeping her away from the class! The teacher Miss Chalise always lets her stand in the hula hoop at the end to yell "I'm wonderful!" do a curtsy, and get a treat with the rest of the class! As soon as she is old enough she will be front and center!
Sword fighting in front of our house. Fun on a budget. Ha!
More dance.
This is called the pedestrian bridge... it is the longest bridge in the country to link two states... it is very cool! Nyah is in Nebraska and Ali is in Iowa!
Nyah is in both... or neither depending on how you look at it :)
In the fall an absolute MUST is Vala's Pumpkin patch... and so we went! I was told that it was just like disneyland! Everyone raved about it! It was maybe a little hokey to be called disneyland but we had a fabulous time anyway! :)
Ali loves slides!
This is at the pig races! Kids are chosen out of the crowd and given a color which corresponds to a racing pig and if your pig wins you get a prize. Nyah's pig was a big fat loser :) but she got a prize anyway! :)
Feeding goats... Nyah loves all animals... she wants to be a zookeeper when she grows up and she is always telling me how she is going to take care of the animals. :)
Tricycle racetrack.
Totally unaware that she is blocking traffic! Like mother like daughter! Ha! :)
We took a hayride around the biggest pumpkin patch I have ever seen in my life!
Biggest rocking horse ever!
Not all that impressed though :)
They had this huge corn sandbox! If you have ever driven through Nebraska and wondered what they do with all that corn? this is it... it's in the corn sandbox at Vala's :)
Big orange bounce pillow! Fun for the whole family! Even those of us with slightly weak bladders! :) HA!
What could be cuter!!!?
Ok may this?! :)
So long Vala's... until next year! :) Nyah is hoping that they won't have the witch with the scary hand at the haunted house... I guess we will have to wait and see. :)
This is the splash pad by the pedestrian bridge. We didn't find out about it until the beginning of fall but we made up for lost time by going every warm day! :)
NYAH GETS A BIKE
Nyah got to pick out a bike! Using the same genius theory I used to use when picking out cold cereal as a kid... she picked one based on the toy that came with... it in this case... a white stuffed cat to ride in the fanny pack. So we walked out of Toys R Us with pedalin pets!
Being that I am a single mom these days I got the job of putting the bike together. Combining my lack of tool knowledge, ADHD, and a dash of "if all else fails read the directions" philosophy I went to work.
By step seven I had enough! Why do they make these so complicated so i skipped it! It was the handle bar brake so I just tucked the wire into the fanny pack in the front. Relax... the pedals have brakes too. :)
She rode pedalin pets through the clouds of heaven on earth!
Nyah asleep at the table... hmmmm is she really sleeping? She tries a lot of tricks to get out of eating... is that what she doing? No, no the tongue is a dead give away, she wouldn't know to have her mouth hang open like that while fake sleeping. Another trait that is mother like daughter. Lucky Derek! :)
More stage makeup with Layni.
Ali putting out fires at the Children's Museum.
Decorating pumpkins... This is Nyah's FAVORITE time of year! She is Halloween's number one fan and we kicked off the season turning 3 pumpkins into a witch a vampire and a mummy! :)
