Halloween 2011

Nyah at her cherub's music class Halloween party... She went as Barbie a fashion fairytale with a big white shirt underneath for warmth! :)

Barbie meets Picasso

Trick or Treating at the Botanical Gardens... They has story time and a Halloween craft as well.

Nyah rocked her Alice costume again this year... and Ali took this world by storm as wonder-woman!!

Before trick or treating we had to grab some (a lot of) :) pictures... I think someone is excited about the mountain of candy they are about to score! ;)

Nyah insisted on having pictures taken with these mini pumpkins they snatched while trick-or-treating at the botanical gardens.

I love the looks on there faces!  They are wondering "Did my mom really just make me jump a fence and come down into this creepy haunted forest with broken glass to take my picture with microscopic pumpkins" Yes I did!  Now say "CHEESE" :)

ADORABLE!!!!!  Step aside Alice in wonderland... There is a new Alice in town!  :)

Nyah really got into the spirit of it :)

Ali never did overcome her fear and confusion...  It's ok sweetie you'll get used to Mom's "idea's" someday :)

Heading out for the goods with some good friends!

Ali wasted no time getting into the groove... criminals would have there way with the city tonight wonder-woman just discovered that if you knock on a door and say trick-or-treat strangers give you CANDY!!!!!!!  SWEEEEeeettt delicious CAAAAAnnnnnnndy!!!!!  "TRICK-OR-TREEeeeeeeAT"!!

Nyah ran like a wild starving carnivorous animal with the pack... they sniffed out and attacked all good candy houses in Village Green!

Ali was a little bit more particular when it came to selection SUCKERS everytime... She carried a sucker in one hand and her bag in the other all night... she would sometimes switch out her sucker for a different one if she was made a better offer... but she was keeping one as insurance in case all the candy on this magical night disappeared! :)

The night was warm and full of costumed friends racing from one house to the next and best of all when it was done there was two OVERFLOWING candy bags... It was a Halloween for the history books!!!

Ali did finally get to eat a sucker. :)

Nyah's 4th Birthday!!!!!!

Nyah's 4th birthday started off with the traditional breakfast in bed... Derek carried the tray and I carried the life-size giraffe.  Nyah was pretending to be sleeping but the smile instead of a gaping mouth gave her away! As soon as the giraffe's head made an appearance Nyah FLEW out of bed and it was LOVE at first sight!!!

She immediately named her Olivia after her newest cousin!

She took Olivia downstairs so that she could show her the forest behind our house.  Olivia has her own personality, likes, dislikes, list of ailments, and Nyah always has her back to make sure she gets just what she needs.  When Olivia get lonely or scared in Nyah's room and needs to come to the living room Nyah hauls her down a full flight of stairs which will cause a tumble one of these days I'm afraid.  Olivia has also given me multiple heart attacks at all hours of the day or night.  You never know where she is going to be lurking and she is so big that it's wise to have someone CPR certified in the house!  :)

After breakfast in bed we headed straight to the zoo for a donuts and chocolate milk brunch by the giraffes... with our good Friends Kacie, Layni, and Taya!  :)  It was a GORGEOUS morning!!!!

Nyah insisted on visiting the zoo in costume... so Belle all the way to the right is actually Nyah :)

We took a birthday ride on the sky-fairie where Nyah got to ride for free!

When we came around the operator told us to take another birthday ride on the house... it really pays to turn 4 these days :)

The whole zoo was decorated for Halloween... I told Nyah that they had done it for her birthday... She felt like one special girl!! :) Oh to be young and have the world revolve around you... :)

What a sweet pumpkin!

PARTY TIME

Nyah's birthday parities are always a spooky affair... and this year was no exception...

we decorated wine glasses with spooky sticker to sip root beer... and made a pumpkin craft... while jamming out to monster mash.  :)

Nyah opened presents and as usual the green-eyed-monster made and appearance but didn't stay long this year ;)

Making a wish...

Ali is wasting no time by getting to the best part of the cupcake... the frosting.

Next everyone took a at wack at Nyah's hand picked eyeball pinata...

which made for some great grab bag favors :)

That night we had cake and ice cream with Dad, Ali, and of course Olivia!

There is nothing but love in those eyes! What could possible be left to wish for?

Hmmmmmmmmm.....

Nyah had asked for one thing for her birthday (she didn't know that she needed a life-size giraffe I took the liberty of selecting that) all she wanted was a "puppy that walks that is not real!"  She asked for it forever... we had to visit it at the store... so that was the only thing missing from a PERFECT day... so I told her to wish for one :)  After blowing out the candles I told her to run upstairs and check her bed :)

Grandma Dahle saved the day...

With a rushed UPS shipment of....

A puppy that walks that is not real!!! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAR SWEET 4-YEAR OLD NYAH!!!!!!!  I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!.
